Gaylen Bourland
Gaylen R. Bourland is a graduate of Mid America Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education, with an emphasis on piano. Gaylen's career in music began as a young boy when he stood atop a stool to be tall enough to see over the pulpit while singing with his family. He later played piano for a traveling gospel quartet, as well as playing for revivals and camp meetings, all while still in high school. Early in his career he taught in Christian education. Gaylen's wife, Karen, is a high school English teacher at Olathe East High School. They live in Olathe, KS and have three adult children, Liz, Aimee, and Scott.





His Music: Gaylen is a published songwriter, arranger, and orchestrator, and a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). He also does freelance arranging and music engraving. His ministry experience includes: organist, pianist, minister of music, orchestra director, ensemble director, and worship leader. Mr. Bourland is currently employed as a Music Editor for Lillenas Publishing Company.
